Stoked to share a new project I’ve been working on with @10BarrelBrewing and their new film ‘Snow Lodge’. My last post shows the full image, this is more of a breakdown of where my head was at drawing this up.
It has been a dream of mine to do a cover for a snowboard film since I was a kid. Growing up, I was glued (still am) to any snowboard film that came out. These videos taught me the culture and brought me to where I am today. To have that full circle is pretty dang cool
Last year, for around a month, @10BarrelBrewing brought athletes from all over the world to explore this zone and backcountry. The result led to a lot of fun and a rad new film project.
For the cover, we wanted to highlight this cozy lodge to bring in those vibes of fun
I then brought in a few sneaky touches into the mix. Since this is a beer company, I couldn’t hold back on a few adult beverages into the mix. While not a highlight, a subtle vibe check for the stoke. Especially, hiking up and seeing your pals score in the mountains, you do tend to get thirsty.
This particular scene with the two pals and dog pulls in every memory I have of being in the mountains and can’t wait for this upcoming snow season to go ride. It also wants me to get a dog cause all my friends that bring them on our backcountry trips are so cool.
One of my favorite parts of this scene is this dude ripping off this little pillow line. My work is super minimal, so when I add a stroke to show movement, I try to make it as intentional as possible. In this case, two little squiggly lines next to the board to show that tweak.
Had a blast creating this, thanks to the team for allowing me to do the cover art!

Prints will be available on tour for attendees and athletes to sign.
